  • by Anthony Kim Jr
  • November 22, 2013

By the end of 2014, there will be more smartphones in the market than there are PCs and you can take that to the bank. Africa is grabbing its fair share of smartphones too and if you are a car seller, you had better start thinking about that mobile website! An ordinary joe will glance at his mobile at least 150 times a day. That means that if your website is on mobile, chances for it being accessed are far higher than when a person has to access a desktop or laptop to go online. Its little wonder then that the race is on, to find market cars via mobile adds.

Mobile Ads

As the African people gain more access to mobile phones, the players in different industries are maximizing on this opportunity and building channels of advertisements to grow their reach. The reason behind this is the easy access of mobile phones based on the low prices and the use of the related technologies from all corners of the continent. People are becoming more aware of the benefits of mobile phones and this has opened massive gate for the automobile industry.

Selling Cars

Since it is easy to post ads online, it is easy to reach quite a large number of people. This has been made possible by the fact that most of the mobile phones that are owned today are smart enough to access the internet or at least surf through mobile friendly websites. There are also other message based services that allow people to go through lists of vehicles being sold and this is what brings out the success in this industry. Some of these services simply require the user to send the specifics of the car they are looking for and the companies go through their data bases and send the description of a car with the closest match.

Why Mobile?

As the name suggests, these devices are mobile and the fact that you can move around with them means that you can use their services as long as you are within the network coverage. Since the mobile phone is one device that we have all become attached to, it is easy to access any type of services through them than any other. Today the mobile phone is the new PC only that it is more flexible. Being away from your PC does not mean that your needs and wants are not there, you can now buy any product or service on the go.

Is this The Future Of Automobile Trade?

Yes would be the most appropriate answer here because as days go by, the mobile industry is improving and soon, Africa businesses will be run on mobile phones and the automotive industry will not be an exception. People are looking for easy cheap means to do business and mobile phones have presented a bright future for all industries. Buying a car will be as simple as looking at the ads posted, negotiating the price, checking the physical condition of the vehicle and buying what pleases you.
